I started developing the Intercollegiate News Network as an undergraduate at Clarkson University in 2017. In my first year building INN, we produced over 45 projects with more than 400 students. The Network was quick to achieve success engaging student organizations in a variety of reports, covering approximately 90% of all Clarkson University Greek Life.
As a result, we began driving more students and St. Lawrence County residents to our News website. In a month of full Network Operations, INN’s web presence received 83k Hits, 45k of which from one week, along with 300+ Unique Facebook Users. Our Network later acquired approximately 2,000 Unique Users!
We were then recognized by Clarkson University for launching the Network and publishing over 200 articles, which lead us to working on projects with a vast amount of University Departments, local organizations, political candidates, and community leaders. We entered the North Country Business Plan competition and received third place in the competitive Products & Services category. As our credibility and recognition rose we were able to produce large scale projects.
In fact, in November 2018 we received support to produce a documentary on North Country Midterm elections, and followed Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, Assemblyman Mark Walzyck, and 14 other St. Lawrence County candidates behind-the-scenes on the campaign trail!
Most recently, in January 2019, we started development on INN Tv for business owners. We made INN Tv possible by merging the live, 24/7 broadcasting platform I created at Clarkson University’s Incubator Program, with micro-computers I programmed to host and facilitate the broadcast. After months of beta-testing in various Potsdam locations, we’re finally ready to offer the service to small business owners and the campuses.
